So the other day I was driving home from work and talking on the phone. When I pulled into my driveway I stayed in the car for a few minutes to finish up my conversation. While I was sitting there, I looked in the rearview mirror and saw a momma and a baby moose run across my driveway right behind me!! It was so cool! A few minutes later another baby ran across after them. She had twins! :) I love Alaska! I get to see all this cool wildlife right in my yard! We are definitly blessed to live here and experience so many awesome things that were created for us! Sorry I don't have any pictures, my camera was inside the house. Lame.
I'll try to get some next time!

About Us
- Sam and Melanie
- Fairbanks, Alaska
- Sam is from Idaho- a tiny little town called Oakley, and Melanie is from Utah-too many places to list! They met in Fairbanks, AK in May 2006, about 2 weeks after she moved up. In the singles branch they got called to be Family Home Evening co-chairs. Apparantly someone thought they'd need practice for eternity!! Sam had been there for about a year beforehand. It's a good thing- he had time to scope it all out before Melanie arrived so he knew all the cool places to go! They started hanging out and got to be really clsoe friends. After a while they started dating and Sam wasn't sure what he wanted but Melanie did, and she can be stubborn!! She wasn't backing down. They got engaged that fall, and married on January 12, 2007 in the Bountiful, UT Temple. It was amazing. Sam and Melanie are both glad she was so stubborn!

im trying to decide if i miss those days or not where moose were everywhere including my front yard...north pole was really bad.
